Education. Communication. Collaboration.

We are an international forum for scientists in reproductive medicine.

Our Goal

To advance the art and science of clinical embryology for the benefit of the public worldwide, through international promotion of education, communication, and collaboration.

ALPHA was founded in 1994 by three internationally renowned scientists with a passion for embryology.

Witnessing the rapid developments in IVF and related technologies, Jacques Cohen, Brian Dale, and Steen Willadsen formed the organization to get clinical embryology to be recognized as a profession and clinical embryologists to organize and have their own advocacy and communication platform. They were soon joined by other prominent scientists, including Yves Menezo, Kay Elder, Alan Handyside and others…

ALPHA provides a forum for communication and exchange of ideas and information among scientists, technologists, and technicians working in the field of reproductive science.

We have launched Alpha Forum to promote and facilitate exactly this type of exchange and conversation. The Forum is moderated by Alpha’s Executive Committee members.
