Welcome to the Alpha Scientists Web site. Alpha is a non-profit organization which provides an international forum for scientists in reproductive medicine. 

Since the founding of Alpha in the summer of 1994, there has been slow but steady progress of clinical developments which spread IVF/ART to every corner of the globe. More recently there has been a dramatic explosion in biotechnology and molecular biology which now dominate its practice. The Alpha founders recognised that the establishment of clinical embryology with professional status and standards on an international basis had become imperative.
